Those who like it served up tougher than a
Slayer double-bass peddled drum fill will be delighted to know the infamous
Wang team are heading to Fabric this weekend to mark the
imminent release of
Posthuman's
Syn Emergence LP. Formed in '99, Posthuman cousins
Rich Bevan and
Joshu Doherty have relentlessly pushed the often-overlooked inner city rave scene with a number of involvements. Within this time, the East London-based duo have
released a varied range of retro-inspired output through
IDM stables such as
Unchartered Audio,
Seed,
B12 Records,
Handsette,
Skam and their own
Balkan Vinyl imprint. Out of the studio, the pair coordinated the legendary abandoned tube station parties between 2001 and 2004, with Doherty now running the monthly hardcore shindig
I Love Acid in Shepherds Bush. American techno heavyweights
Abe Duque and
Blake Baxter are on the bill with a live set, while long-term Wang associates
Bass Junkie and
Electro Elvis fill in the gaps with DJ slots. For those who like a wander, smokers searching for lost friends or anyone looking to briefly drop the BPM, you can find tech-house shenanigans in Room 1 courtesy of
Rhadoo,
Marco Corola and the unfortunately titled, yet decent Berlin-based producer,
Heartthrob (aka
Jesse Siminski).
NB: anyone who can't make it to Fabric or curtain-tugging deviants who haven't quite had their fill of Wang for the weekend, should head to Dalston Superstore the following night for the official afterparty where Abe Duque and Blake Baxter are joined by KF favourite, Andrew Weatherall.
